IF THEY ARE HUNGRY...
Each year The Soup Kitchen delivers nearly 200,000 lunches to the elderly, out of work adults and children in Bristol, Virginia and Bristol, Tennessee.
Every day, Monday through Friday approximately 900 meals are delivered. This services continues 52 weeks of the year. Those benefited are ones who are not quite as mobile and who may have fallen by the wayside from other programs. Lunch consists of a variety of hot homemade soups along with crackers and milk. Additional holiday meals are delivered at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are thankful for the many volunteers who devote their time and efforts to this great ministry.
Our mission will continue to serve and expand as the hunger need is so great in our community.
"It's hard to explain the feeling of actually coming in, preparing the meals, delivering it to the people who are expecting you and they're relying on you. There's no feeling like it. It's just a worthwhile cause and it makes your heart feel good."

THREE CHEERS FOR THE UCF
Assembled with care by a master chef,
Delivered with love till there's no one left,
Encouraging those who are down and bereft -
This the cause of the UCF.
There is none other to which I attest!
There is but one that can be the best!
You're head-and-shoulders above all the rest!
So I say, "Three cheers for the UCF!"
Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!
